Hello and welcome to my very first blog as the Urban Flower Farmer….We launched the new website on the 19th June and on today’s blog and I wanted to share some of the fabulous new images we have been working on for the new website and brand launch some of which are still to be published.  So why after all this time have I decide to scrap my previous brand Emma Sousa Flowers…..well after building my business for the last ten years I felt it was time to embrace what has become a very different business from the one I started all those years ago.

When I first started Emma Sousa Flowers I was a Mum of two with a third on the way.  After working for over 14 years in Fashion Buying I was made redundant and decided to take a very different path to the one I had been treading and release my inner creative to become a florist…..over the past 10 years the business has grown ever so slowly along with my beautiful children and over the last few years I have had both more time and energy to concentrate and to really develop it into something pretty special.  I also launched the growing side of my business in 2015, now into its second season, and this is something I plan to expand over the next few years and something that makes Urban Flower Farmer a little bit unique and special.

So apart from concentrating on the new website what have I been up to?  Well I celebrated British Flowers week with, well, lots of British Flowers.  The previous week I visited some amazing large scale growers in Lincolnshire which was a real eye opener and of course there have been lots of weddings to do as it is now into peak wedding season......I have worked on some lovely events and with some gorgeous couples and I can't wait to share them with you over the next few months.  I have to say I am feeling pretty exhausted but this year is just flying and before you know it, it will be over and we will be starting the year again coming back bigger and better than ever.  If anyone is at the Hampton Court Flower Show this week do pop by and say hello to us on the Flowers From The Farm stand.  I will be there on Thursday chatting to the public and promoting British Flower growers all over the UK along with some of my fellow growers.  The stand looks amazing and if we don't win Gold or Silver tomorrow I will be very surprised....it really is beautiful.

I have to say a huge thank you to Identity, London who have done an amazing job on the re-brand and website.  We would love to hear your feedback, comments, suggestions below. Also don't forget to subscribe to our blog to receive updates on the latest in trends, weddings, flowery news…and of course always fabulous photos…..we also send out a quarterly newsletter which lets you know about our workshops and any upcoming special events.  Our July workshop is now full but we have set dates for our Winter Wreath making workshops in December.  We have featured in and on quite a few blogs and magazines over the last month so here is a link to a couple of them The British Flowers Blog and Muddy Stilettos

Wishing you all a wonderful July.......and thanks as always for all of your support.
